Benefits of Clear Skin Tea

Our Clear Skin Tea helps to nourish your skin from the inside out, with herbs traditionally used to relieve skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, spots and acne. Marigold is a lymphatic, and has soothing, anti-inflammatory properties. Alfalfa benefits include high amounts of vitamins, minerals and silica, making it great for revitalizing problem skin, and also stronger hair. Its name comes from the Arabic, and means ‘the father of all foods’. Horsetail is an amazing plant also rich in silica, which is helpful for skin repair and for toning skin, making it a great natural remedy for problem skin conditions such as psoriasis.

In short, this is an all-round beauty tea that also settles digestion. I recommend drinking 3 mugs a day, and most people can expect to see benefits within 7-10 days. It’s tasty enough to drink every day, whether as a balancing skin tonic (think: spots, dermatitis, psoriasis), or as a general pick-me up.

Our tea blend

The herbs in our Clear Skin Tea have been selected to be effective, kind and gentle, making this a great all-round tonic tea. I’ve added two types of mint for extra aroma and bags of fresh, reviving flavour. Natural sweetness and body comes from marigold and the superfood alfalfa, and the whole blend is rounded off beautifully with blue cornflower petals.

Ingredients

Mint, marigold, spearmint, nettle, alfalfa, horsetail, sticky willy, blue cornflower.

Mint gets its name from Greek mythology. Minthe the water nymph was caught seducing Hades, the ruler of the underworld, and was turned into a mint plant by his jealous wife, Persephone.

Nettle

Spearmint

Spearmint is the true mint of mojitos.
Before fridges were invented, spearmint was sometimes added to milk, to lengthen the shelf-life and keep it from curdling.

Sticky Willy

Fresh sticky willy tea makes a great hangover cure – it’s an excellent lymphatic! It tastes like the smell of freshly cut grass.
Cats and dogs love eating sticky willy – probably for its lymphatic qualities.

2-3 mugs daily. People usually report a difference in around 10 days. Lifestyle choices may affect results.

Tip: To make iced tea, make the herb tea as usual, and simply put the drained tea in the fridge, where it will keep for 3 days.

Try our Clear Skin Tea instead of coconut water in your smoothie. Lower calories, and full of nutrients!

Interested in beauty teas for a natural skin boost?

Herbal teas have been used for centuries to relieve skin ailments, as they are often rich in nutrients and minerals. Our Clear Skin Tea, for example, contains iron, zinc, magnesium, silica and several other minerals. Dandelion and nettle have traditionally been used as a diuretic, sticky willy as a lymphatic, and mint to stimulate digestion.

Some skin problems can also be itchy and sore. Marigold is used in traditional remedies for its anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties, which can help to relieve pain and inflammation.

As an added benefit, our tea is also calorie and caffeine-free!

Great for children
My three year old tried this tea and he loves it, usually asks for a cup after his lunch. A more enjoyable alternative to sugar filled drinks :) Delicious hot or cold. Highly recommended for all the family.

Drinking our tea is not a substitute for seeing a doctor.
