From early beginnings stomping the fields with her Gran in search of blackthorn to make sloe gin, Cindy went on to complete a degree in Psychology & Neuroscience at Manchester University. On graduation, she entered the world of banking, while traveling and studying for a degree in Herbal Medicine in Edinburgh Other specialist studies included an Aromatherapy and Chinese Medicine diploma, and Bach Remedy courses, while continuing to work as a business consultant.
Fortunate enough to travel to far-flung corners of the world as a child living in Indonesia and Hong Kong, Cindy experienced traditional medicine and herbal wisdom at first hand. Then she put her learning into practice by developing her own herb tea blends based on infusions she’d experienced in India, Egypt, Japan, the Philippines, Mexico and elsewhere.
In 2008, looking for a new challenge, Cindy took part in the TV series ‘The Apprentice’, getting through to the final interview stage. She was ultimately fired by Sir Alan for being “too zany” for his company.
She continues to champion creativity in business, and is proud of creating a successful company around health, well-being and ethical values.
Cindy introduces her newly rebranded teas to vistors at the 2016 Royal Highland Show, Edinburgh.
