At market stalls I’ve regularly been asked about sage. Ever since, I’ve been on a mission to blend a natural menopause remedy that also tastes great. To complement the sage and alfalfa, I’ve added rose for its sweet fragrance, and also its cooling, astringent properties (which is why it’s often used in facial products). Cooling Sage Tea can be enjoyed hot or cold, by anyone, at any time of day.
Tip: If you're using sage tea to treat hot flushes or other menopause symptoms, try 2-3 cups a day for 2-3 weeks. People usually report a difference in around 10 days. Lifestyle choices may affect results.

Sage, the menopause and other uses
Women have long used sage as a traditional remedy for the symptoms of menopause, including hot flushes/sweating. Many menopause symptoms are related to a drop in oestrogen, which affects the body’s neurotransmitters. Clinical studies evidence the widely reported benefits of sage – see the link below for an overview.
Research is also underway into the effects of sage on inhibiting cancer growth. The ursolic acid in sage has been found to inhibit angiogenesis – the ability of tumours to produce new blood vessels.
Sage has also been used in traditional medicine as an anti-bacterial, and considered helpful in treating coughs, colds and flus. It was also used by the ancient Greeks and Romans to preserve meat, and stop other foods from going off. These anti-bacterial properties are being researched for possible other uses, including mouthwash and deodorant.

I met Cindy at various food and health shows. She recommended the Cooling Sage to help me through those hot flushes. I prefer the tea when it has cooled. This really worked. I really must try teas from the rest of range.

I love this tea and have a cup first thing in the morning (well anytime actually!). Beautifully and carefully blended. I use the tea leaves as mulch around my own herbs and plants.

Make sure you have at least 2 cups a day for 2 weeks before judging whether or not this works for you. I was doubtful that it would work but have been amazed at the improvement in my menopausal hot flushes when using the tea - and the speed of their return when I stopped using it. BUT - It did need 2 weeks of persisting with it before it took effect so stick with it!
